hi

Hi.

I am from Toronto & stumbled upon this board, although I cannot understand most of the posts, there is so much information about music on here I can pick out.

I'm into dnb & idm mostly, stuff like ASC, 0=0, Paul B, Equinox, Bailey, Matrix, senses, breakage, high contrast, ed rush & optical among others like Amon Tobin, Dj krush, mum, etc.

Just wanted to say hi & appreciate all the info that is here cos I plan to travel europe again.

im innviertler outback gibts ein uraltes wirtshaus - middn in irgendam acker - das heißt "der mittelpunkt europas" und die leudde dort sind davon auch voll überzeugt... naja macht sich gut auf der speiskartn.
aber der tatsächliche geographische mittelpunkt liegt in der ukraine, westlich von kiew, so sagt man. und wenn die osterweiterung mal in den köpfen is, werden die karten dann eh neu gemischt, dann beginnen bei den xibergern vielleicht die west-indies.

ich bin in ungarn in die grundschule (volks- & hauptschule) gegangen, und wir haben gelernt (so ungefähr...)

bis frankreich westeuropa.
deutschland, schweiz, österreich und so mitteleuropa.
polen, tschechien, ungarn, etc. mittel-osteuropa.
weiter östlich (rumänien, ukraine,...) osteuropa.

wahrscheinlich entstand die bezeichnung "mittel-osteuropa", weil sich damals die (relativ) fortgeschrittenere "ostblockländer" (vor allem tschechien, ungarn, slowenien...) nicht mehr osteuropa nennen wollten.

ich denke also, dass west, mittel, ost, oder was auch immer auch sehr viel mit wirtschaft zu tun hatten, haben und haben werden.
