hm, sehr interessant.
hab ich dort gelesen das eine open source version von mac osx bereits auf intel prozessoren rennt?
bzw heißt das.. ich kann mac os x auf meinem pc installieren??

und überhaupt was ich mich schon länger frag, wieso kann man mac os nicht auf pcs installen?
kenn mich bei macs leider absolut nicht aus

ich auch nicht! aber fein wäre das schon! schliesslich gibts ja auch office für den mac....

weil os x für andere prozessoren geschrieben wurde...eben power pc porzessoren!!!

was ich mich frag ob dann die ganze windows software easy am mac verwendbar wird? meccsen?

und portierbar ist das schon, weil die kernbestandteile das wichtige sind, rest kann neu draufkompiliert werden.

mac zeug hat sich aber immer dadurch ausgezeichnet, dass sie nur in ihren rechnern funktioniert. du kaufst ja keine mac-bestandteile udn baust dir einen zusammen, sondern es gibt das fixe kasterl und ende. also keine unterstützung für so viel hardware wie bei nem normalen pc. mal schaun was da draus wird. wird wohl um den preis gehn... osx einfach so bei dir installieren wird noch wenn überhaupt seine zeit dauern.

ja, wenn mac os auf einem pc rennt, kommen die skript kiddies und irgendwann wird auch ein mac so voll mit spyware, viren oder was weiß ich sein, das es die gleich beschissene qualität wie windows hat.

osX auf x86 heißt aber nicht dass es dann dafür spyware und viren gibt. sowas ist ein problem des betriebssystems, nicht vom prozessor. der arme siliziumsklave kann da gaaarnix dafür

ich glaub nicht, dass nur weil apple mit intel zusammenarbeitet, dann die apples auf x86 laufen, zumindest nicht zwangslaeufig.
vielleicht kommt ja auch ein neuer ppc von intel?
oder gleich ein g5 auf cell-basis?

imo muss apple nicht die technologie wechseln, weil jetzt einige auf den zug mit rauf wollen, sondern braucht einfach einen zuverlaessigen (liefertermine, entwicklungen, ...) partner.

btw... der cell kommt von IBM
und für nen intel-ppc müßte intel wahrscheinlich nen haufen patente kaufen

aber spekulieren bringt sowieso nix. apple macht hier wahrscheinlich nur ein bisschen börsenmarkteting
