Dutch Techstep Syndicate, duefully represented by Eye D, Kid Entropy, Dj Hidden, Ancronix and Kid Entropy.
The dark sound of the Netherlands has finally compromised the membrane housing the UK drum & bass genre. Eye D, Dj Hidden and Ancronix have developed a unique abrasive approach to jungle which debases even the most ferocious UK and US productions. Corrosive and visceral by design, the unparalled sound of this trio of Ruff-Teck alumni has consistently exceeded the standards for high bpm drum schrapnel. With a barage of releases on infamous cult labels like: Ghetto Safari, Kultbox, Fear and Theoretic the "hardcore" dn'b mantra was firmly embedded in the subconscious of the underground. Associated with kindred genres like breakcore, gabber and mashup, the darkstep sound resonated with many disenfranchised listeners
-listeners who had been let down by the avalanche of the pasts hard drum&bass style. With a release on the celebrated evol intent recordings(Dj Hidden and Slacknote) and forthcoming activities on Outbreak Uk ( Dj Hidden) the conquest of hardcore drum&bass is imminent. Soothsayer is proud to participate in this coup de' tat of breakbeat propriety by announcing its most ambitious release to date, Eye-D/Dj Hidden/Ancronix- 640 K EP. Hardcore, jungle and drum & bass was once described as "inner city ghetto music"; the 640 K ep is the 2k5 sound of the street. Featuring two tracks of dystopian ghetto techstep, three locked grooves for the turntablist's delight, beatboxing and an accapella reprise courtesy of Kid Entropy_ 640 K EP will make heads roll!
