Der Gründer des SoundKraft Labels, Alien Pimp, vereinigt Artists aus Bulgarien, Russland, Serbien, der Ukranie, Weißrussland und seiner Heimat Rumänien auf dieser Compilation. Mit eher sanften Vibes (Cooh & Black Science Project – Mirage) bis hin zu Sounds der härteren Gangart (Prode & Logical – Poltergeist) ist die Nummer Eins von SoundKraft sehr abwechslungsreich und zeigt was der “Osten” so zu bieten hat. Dass sich in Russland auch einiges tut, weiß jeder der Paul B, STA und Bes kennt und mit Implex (“You”) scheint nicht der letzte Stern am Drum'n'Bass Himmel aufzugehen. Auf der Homepage des Labels () kann man übrigens einige Tracks probehören, sowie Mixes von Implex und Alien Pimp ergattern. Bleibt zu hoffen, den einen oder anderen auch Hierzulande zu sehen. (MG)

...die meisten von den tracks sind leider keine gute werbung für die szene in osteuropa imho!

bevor man zwanghaft was releast was einfach nicht gut ist sollt man vielleicht ein bisserl warten und hart dran arbeiten!

just my 2 cent und sicherlich total unpassend zum "yeah - alles so supercool vibe" der hier zur zeit vorherrscht!

in english - take your time before you release stuff to the public and work hard to reach a certain standard! most of the tracks you are selling here do the scene in eastern europe no favour imho!

can you be more specific about the standard please?

i mean i respect your opinions and i agree there's always a higher standard to be reached, and we're working to do that, but so far 90% percent of the opinions expressed on boards around the world and in private conversations are opposite to yours, so it helps to know what weak points you spotted, not just a general consideration

basically i d say everything, from the sampling to the mixdowns to the musical quality of the tracks (which for sure is subjective)... some of the tracks seem to run on 195 bpm which i think just sounds absolutely wrong...

i think you played your own track (shut up i think) out at flex and 100 % of the people i talked to there thought the mixdown as well as the quality of the beat and bassline was absolutely out of the question...

but at the end of the day you must set your own standards - or let others that count define a standard for you - which would mean that your tracks get signed to existing labels! if nobody wants to sign your music that usually has a cause!

no offense - just take what i said as an opinion!

no offence taken, mate, just figuring out what you mean...

i don't remember playing shut up at flex, but i can't bet my ass on it as my sets are always improvised on the spot judging people's reaction, so i may not remeber all the tracks i dropped

if you ask me, all other tracks are better than mine (i'm anyway never satisfied with my work) some other ppl think different, but there's always a best track and a worst track, no matter who, where, when....

but from that to the consideration "most of the tracks you are selling here do the scene in eastern europe no favour imho !" it's a looong way! this phrase can't end with "imho" just look above: to have the tracks played by these guys it's a favour in itself! it's not only our merit, as some of them got the dubs and played it before us... but it objectively proves the tracks partially reached their goal: to make the voice heard worldwide and make some people happy. and that's beyond "imho"

are you happy with everything you put out? if not, why did you put it out? if yes, this won't help you grow...
but no matter if any of us is happy with those tracks, if you saw people smiling and dancing in clubs while listening to them, they objectively reached most of their goal

so basically all of this might come down to discerning whats subjective and what's not, and trying to make things more and more objectively cool

i'm sorry you are not satisfied with the release, but there's so many others really happy with it that makes me only say : this guy is cool, hope to reach his soul too next time

fair enough!

i really like the idea of promoting sounds from eastern europe therefore i stated my opinion on your effort.

personally i just think that you could improve if you d set your standards higher. as you say that s surely subjective and i absolutely don t say or think that my opinion is the right one - its just my feedback!

surely gonna watch your future efforts and i m pretty sure that there s big things to watch out for from this side of europe!

as for my personal output - i had some releases and am totally happy with them. i was lucky to be able to collaborate with a guy i personally think is setting the standard in drumandbass worldwide though - so i don t really see that as my personal effort - i m happy to be able to learn from that collab and have fun at once. i wouldn t want to put out something i m not totally satisfied with as i think putting out stuff just for the sake of putting it out without beeing really happy with it doesn t really help you grow! but thats again a subjective opinion.

i'm glad we reached a common point and be sure your attitude was seen at its best, i understood what you meant, i just wanted to make sure it's properly transmitted

only one shade to strike more clear: it's one thing to be happy with what you've done and another thing to say: this can't get any better

i see some of the weak points in our stuff, and i see weak points in many praised releases and many producers that get buttlicked every day

but if for each weakness there's another strong point to compensate then you get a cool overall image which is what really counts, cause at the end of the day in front of the speakers normal audience dont do the biopsy of the track putting everything under microscope, they just get hit by the overall sound. and believe me, most of the tracks do their job at least well in some corner of the world every week-end

i should add that these tracks are already becoming quite mature as age. because of the environment we live in it took a while untill they reached you, meanwhile all of us spent time growing and we'll keep doing that untill WE'll set the standards for others who are now too satisfied with themselves, bored and unable to find new perspectives
nevertheless, if "incubation" or "you" will be pressed on wax even one year from now, make sure you'll still hear them played lots of places... because some people figured out 1-3 years ago what you might like today. that means we work now on what you'll like tomorrow

big ups all critics and supporters!
never sit confortable in a cosy present before you figured out future
