Right in time for a sizzlin´ 2009 autumn High Tension Digital brings the next audio session to you: the Blue Series, covering Drum&Bass. "Monster Dub" by Shroombab unites oldskool drum&bass vibes with current dub influences. Strong rollin' beats and a raw bassline make your ass follow.

Anyways, the true favorites of this release are two remixes by German producer Polarity and his Austrian counterpart PsychoFX. They both got busy with Shroombabs "Hidden Faces". And both remixes will kick the shit out of your speakers.

Polarity, who already worked with Shroombab on their first vinyl release for High Tension in 2002, still delivers quality beats. He recently released his own album "Syntax". The Polarity Epos remix starts with an epic melody, developing to a true neuro-dnb stomper in the middle part. Distorted noise fx call, over-compressed beats respond - and vice versa.

PsychoFX plays with the melodic parts of the original tune as well, but pushes them towards a new, different dimension. The main part with its heavy bassline drops heavily after a minimal intro, featuring fat synths and melodic arrangements in between. This is our second prank at double speed - be prepared!!

The video was made in Bratislava, Slovakia, during KinoKabaret Bratislava by the mightly Stephan Tumler from Accompong Records & distribution with help of some amazing actors, actresses and camera assistants. a) Polarity

Polarity is a German drum&bass producer from Aglasterhausen, who now lives in Berlin. He just released his album "Syntax" recently. He runs the label producer-network.

PsychoFX is an Austrian drum&bass producer from Salzburg, who now lives in Vienna. He is studying music at university in Vienna.

c) Shroombab

Shroombab is a fixed institution of Austrias drum&bass-scene. She was born in Upper Austria and moved to Vienna in 1997 where she started to change her instruments from flute & guitar to turntables & sequencers. Successfully: Gigs in over 28 countries of the world and several record releases on more than 10 quality labels followed.

In 2008 Shroombab decided to bring her label High Tension back. "High Tension Digital" delivers you all what you need to survive in the electronic data flow: from breakbeat to dubstep/grime to drum&bass and other electronica - there are no strict style boarders.

kann das sein dass das original von hidden faces in dem ersten oder 2ten junglistic sistaz radio (bassdrive.com) set drin war?
is scho bissi älter der mix den ich mein

das set von eurer ersten sendung is bei mir auf dauerrotation glaufn damals

jep das kann sein !

nachdem in letzter zeit das original stark "nachgefragt" worden ist (und einigen leuten scheinbar auch gut gefällt), werd ich das im zuge einer compilation einfach als bonus (praktisch "gratis"-track) gegen ende des jahres einfach mitveröffentlichen... das werd ich dann noch rechtzeitig ankündigen.

und video comments gibts noch gar keine? gedreht worden ist übrigens in bratislava.

naja ganz ehrlich video haut mich nicht von den socken....

die handlung hat wenig mit dem titel zu tun ausser den verschwommenen gesichtern

so dynamik mässig passts auch net wirklich dazu (gemeint schnelle musik schnelle bilder)

auch jetz keine besonders schönen bilder drinn

also geht bestimmt besser mit dem gleichen budget muss ich ehrlich sagen und sehr kreativ find ichs jetz auch nicht

es ist wirklich langsam geschnitten für ein musikvideo. ansonsten, also dass die locations lame sind, ist wohl geschmackssache. aber ich werd deine kritik dem regisseur weiterleiten.

polarity tune find i scho fett. video net wirklich (wie vom BTKA scho erwähnt).

sowas hier is zwar sehr 90er video aber ich find passt sehr gut zu solcher musik.

net auf den track achten im video. der is sehr low-quali (audio qualität). das hat aber damit zu tun dass die original version von dem video nur 64kb gross ist.
wer mehr wissen will: google nach demoscene intros 64k

Video wie erwähnt hätte anders verarbeitet werden sollen, dann würds auch maybe besser zur geltung kommen.

Wenn man sich zum vergleich das neue video von mistabishi anschaut fällt einem gleich auf das hier die "frames" zügiger und tune-gerecht verarbeitet wurden.
Ich denke das der Regisseur hier sonst nicht viel mit dnb oder allgemein musik-videos zu tun hatte bisher?
