YELLOW-STRIPE (YS) - When and how did you first start getting interested in and producing Drum & Bass?
COOH (COH)- I was listening to a lot of metal and hardcore music as a kid, because of my older brother had a lot of metal tapes at home and later I found the drum and bass music was the closest sounding to metal electronic music. When I was 16 I was playing in a metal band for some years and then I one of the guys from the band showed me his computer with some program to write electronic music. That�s how I started chasing that heavy sounds.
YS � We know that you are preparing new projects can you tell us more about them?
COH - I am currently working on a new Balkansky album for the label Kuker, which is going to mix again Bulgarian folklore with electronic music and it will be chilled out music again, that have nothing to do with my drum and bass sound. Another project is my album for Guerilla Recordings with 4 Cooh and 4 Balkansky tunes in it. I am also working on new ep for Prspct and Habit recordings.
YS � �Some say you are a really efficient production "machine", how do you manage?
COH - I just breath music and I cant be anything else but artist. Having a lot of ideas and skills to write them down really fast, helps a lot too. I cant stop my self from been productive and even when I am traveling around the world, I am using every possibility to write music or draw pictures. Theres so many ideas I wrote down on airports, or travelling with trains and buses from town to town�.
YS � Where did you get inspirtation to start the Balkansky project?
COH - The Balkansky project came when I felt that I need to separate my soft music from my hard music, so when I release a softer track the hard fans don�t think I stopped writing hard music. The project have found its shape when I met the art director and producer Ivo Christov, and he met me with the ethno-jazz musican Theodosii Spassov. We started showing our Balkansky project live with specialy made visuals on parties and festivals and we made this Kuker album all together. I am also releasing my dubstep tunes as Balkansky, but the live project is covering a lot more styles then just dubstep.
YS � What is your favourite place to play and your favorite gig, so far?
COH - Its hard to say as I loved most of the gig I played so far, but one of the best was Therapy Portugal.
My favorite places to play are Porto and Budapest, but I also love playing in Prague, Sofia and Rotterdam.
Now I am going on a tour in Australia and New Zealand and I am sure some of the gigs there will get on my top 5 too.
YS - What inspires you to make you music and draw?
COH - The life is my biggest inspiration. With all the shapes of the nature I am making my drawings and with all the different landscapes around my life I find inspiration to write music. When I am with pencil or ink in my hand I can get inspiration from the smallest detail, that most people wont even recognise. Then I start analysing it and trying to show it as a unique lifeform. With the studio or just my laptop infront of me I can get inspiration from a single sample to write a whole track, or just messing with some synth sound I can build the whole idea and make it work�.but, thats all about motivation really

"Sam" - If your CDs dissapeared before you had to play, what would you do?
COH - I would grab my laptop and play with winamp :D
"Filipe" - How would you describe your sound, visually?
COH - As my sound go into different variations, I can describe it as a huge picture where you can find yourself, myself and the others in all the small details. Theres parts of the picture which are dark and emotional like the pain and sorrow and others that are deep and full of love, like the good moments of our lives. Sometimes I see my music as a big nasty machine and othertimes like a good place to stay and watch the blue skyes and the wind moving the clouds�.then conect it with my art and make is simple � black and white, but still alive
"Jo�o Silva" - What do you enjoy the most when playing in Portugal?
COH - I love the portuguese crowd, the clubs are always nice and Yellow Stripe are doing great promotion of my music �too, which is not that easy to find and I really appreciate it. I like when the crowd in Portugal stays till early morning to see their favorite DJ and not leavng the club, killing the vibe of the place.
"Ant�nio Colonia" - And if I tell you that I've a tatoo in your honor?
COH - My brother made my logo as tatoo on his leg and there was more people asking me for my pictures to put them on tatoos, so I will be really happy to see more people getting inspired from my work and put my art on their skin�.but to be honest I would never tatoo my self with anything and let it stay there my entire life.

COH - Keep on loving my music and keep the possitive energy flowing around Portugal. Expect more good music from me and stay tuned with my latest projects and artworks
