One of Sydney & Australia's original junglists, after relocating from the UK in the early 90's, he became a founding member of *******ing jungle collective JMA, breaking new ground with their tours, legendary warehouse parties and widespread national radioplay. Also a successful hip hop producer in his own right, Speaks has always had at least one foot firmly planted in the world of Jungle/DnB. As a promoter he has beeen responsible for some of Sydney's finest jungle events over the last 15 years and as a DJ he has played alongside many of the scene's true legends including Micky Finn, DJ Hype, Ratty, Dr S Gachet, Aphrodite, Tango, DJ Rap and Grooverider just to name a few.

He is renowned for his smooth mixing style and intuitive tune selection and since he is so well-connected with a lot of the major labels and artists in the industry, he has access to some of the most exclusive, unreleased dubplates available to drop in his DJ sets and radio shows. These connections and his 20 years of experience have recently lead to Lighterman appointing him to run the A&R for his new label, Criminal Records.

Production wise, Speaks currently teams up with Ruff Tactics to be one half of Tactical Aspect, although still only less than a year old, this exciting and much talked about project has already seen tracks released on labels such as In Da Jungle, Dubpride & Criminal Records and a host of official remixes in the works. Their hard work ethic and prolific output has also seen them gain widespread DJ support from the likes of Antidote, Dub One, Tango, Madcap, Sub, Ricky Force, Lighterman and many more.

Broadcasting since 2001, jungletrain.net is a 24/7 drum & bass internet radio with ~50 LIVE shows a week. With ~100 DJs from around the world, the station showcases a variety of styles and sub-genres, with a focus on the deeper and more "subverted" sounds of drum & bass.

PROMOMIX SERIES
The jungletrain.net promomix series has been published monthly since December 2004. Each mix showcases a different jungletrain.net DJ, offering a taste of his/her show on jungletrain.net. Starting in October 2009 the promomix series began to also feature an occasional special edition "engineers" mix, featuring dubplates and unreleased tracks from jungletrain.net producers and affiliated labels.
