Hayato - Neighbors / Hot These Days (BLUSLTD006 / OUT NOW!!!)
Japan's Hayato Saito is at it again, releasing a duo of musical slammers on Blu Saphir LTD for release number six. Revisiting Hayato's last release at the genesis of our new sub-label, the Tokyo native puts his progress on display with Hot These Days and Neighbors. Easily reminiscent of the sound design from a futuristic movie, the man is already making serious waves in the drum 'n bass scene across the world. Don't forget to check his release, Traveler on Disturbing the Peace Volume 1, put out by Violation Music UK.

A. NEIGHBORS:
You're walking through a city alone. The drums create the atmosphere, while heavy chords create a certain sentimental tranquility. Metallic effects and others create this environment of science fiction at the drop. Are drones flying through the air? The duality of melody and evolutionary dissonance peek through a seemingly turbulent sky. Easily reminiscent of the days of DNAudio, fans of the more technoid, minimal sound are going to diig this one easy!
B. HOT THESE DAYS:
Etheric chords sweep the listener off their feet while filtered breaks comb their way through to the floor, Ghosty synth pads eerily make their entrance, adding body to the tune. Squelchy bass crawls in underneath, completing the formula to this dark, minimal stepper. It doesn't take long before the drums perform their required aural assault. Following the second drop, reverberant bass kicks add an additional element to the atmosphere, while bassy bleeps create the illusion of walking through a cyborg-laced tunnel.
