debian - audio cds rippen

kennt wer per zufall ein programm mit dem ich audio cds rippen kann?

bin noch ein ziemlicher debian n00b; benutze das OS erst seit ~1 monat für einen lan-fileserver. schön langsam füllen sich die festplatten, komm nur nicht dahinter, wie ich eine audio cd rippe.

thx für die schnelle antwort. funkt! (package cdparanoia war eh schon installed )


-> grad bemerkt, dass ich im filemanager die files einfach nur rüberziehen muss, und er mir sofort vorschlägt, die files als .ogg zu komprimieren...

kde 2 ja.

eigentlich drehts sichs beim mir nicht direkt um debian, sondern um xandros.. allerdings basiert eben dieses auf debian + hat verwendet somit diesselben befehle in der konsole.

imho das allerbeste für linux anfänger.

ich würd mandrake empfehlen, und damit haben meine "jünger" immer gute erfahrungen geamacht

gentoo is eher zum "verstehen" und für poweruser da

wobei

paar dinge ärgern mich am gentoo auch, aber da dann kommt "mach doch selber den ebuild" sag ich lieber nix

also die einfachste "distro" die ich bis dato gesehn hab,..
war KNOPPIX - bootet von ner einzigen cd alles weg,..
und kannst jederzeit pakete nachinstallieren (on the fly)
ganz lustig,...
nur leider nie hochgekommen auf meinem vaio lol

da is das problem der BIOS, da passt was nicht, nicht standardkonform, und es bootet nur das windows das mitgeliefert wird.

abhilfe -> bios update ... <was genau, null ahnung>

(also, ohne gewähr, sowas hab ich mal gehört ... )

knoppix is definitiv gut, nachteil: es is scho ur viel da und installiert, was man nicht braucht. besser is halt, sich schritt für schritt zusammenzuinstallieren was man will und nicht den klotz da zu haben und ende

zum ausprobieren und andere überzeugen, bzw. rescue. .. jo .. 1A

das problem is vmtl ein mix von bios und pcmcia-cdrom
bios update gibts von sony eins,..
is aber eigentlich um nocht original windoofs zu installieren
hab mich aber nochned getraut das anzuwenden
hehe,...
afaik kannst dein knoppix aber konfigurieren/abspecken,...
cdrom +usb-stick (fuer settings) = pc immer dabei

konnte zuerst weder mandrake, noch suse noch xandros installen...problem war die disable-te APIC Function im BIOS. auf enable gestellt...alles pipi fein funktioniert.

liegt daran, dass die großen distries eben den kernel auch auf laptops laufen lassen wollen, und so ne gepatchte version haben, die natürlich acpi hat.
gentoo deshalb hier besser, weil man da nicht nur zwischen 20+ kernel versionen wählen kann, sondern auch noch jeden bis ins letzte hinterstübchen konfigurieren kann. -> mein kernel hat kein acpi



so, ende ... hochkomplexes thema. redma lieber darüber, warum sich so wenig fesche mädlz mit sowas beschäftigen ... oder ist das nur ein vorurteil?
