Problem mit externer Festplatte

ice cube [firewire - usb] gehäuse gekauft - ibm festplatte reingebastelt - am mac angeschlossen - firewire400 und usb 2.0 getestet -> funktioniert

aber als ich das teil am sony vaio ausprobieren wollte sprach windows -> sie versuchen ein hochgeschwindigkeits usb gerät an einen nicht hochgeschwindigkeits usb stecker anzuschliessen ...whoot

meine vermutung: usb 1.1 / usb 2.0 / bug

wenn nicht dann schnell ändern

ich hatte mal eine ausgeborgt (usb2.0) , sie funktionierte aber auch so mit usb 1.1

aber geht das ding net mit usb1.1, sollt es doch
klingt stark nach sony hat des verbockt


usb ist echt kein allheilmittel... bei der seriellen schnittstelle war wenigstens alles klar wen was net gefunkt hat ... andererseits ist ne festplatte mit serieller schnittstelle ein geschenk für Feinde

btw.
mein via kt266pro board hatte das Problem das meine CPU 30% weniger kraft hatte wenn mein usb midi keyboard eingeschalten war

wundert mich auch!
hab in div. foren nachgelesen und alle besagen, dass usb 1.1 "normalerweise" problemlos mit usb 2.0 funktioniert!

F*CK ...und gerade sind mir die RAM vom powerbook verstorben *notmyday*

hab auch ein sony vaio notebook mit usb und iLink...

hoffe, dass das funken,...
