Got some brand spanking new Artists for June / July 2005


DJ TEK (Sudden Def, Emotif - London UK)
One of the original crew behind the label, TEK started out like most DJS / Producers in the scene...

While attending college TEK was DJing and played out regulary at local parties and clubs where he linked up with The Interrogator, wich then led to them teaming up to form the productiong duo AUDIO STATE.Together under the "Audio State" moniker the produced 3 tracks for EMOTIF RECORDS.

When Sudden Def was launched in 1998 TEK provided a solo track on each of the first 2 Releases and then the 3rd release was his own full solo single! That single was the last to date that he has produced for the label, but he has not disappeared. Following up his earlier Audio State days, TEK has since had a single on Emotif and has showed his versatility with a forthcomign release on Emotifs BOTCHIT BREAKS Label under the MARK AUDIO alias.

Not forgetting that he is also an accomplished DJ, TEK continues to play out on a regular
basis. Over the last 4 years he has twice enjoyed 6 month long stays in New York (US) where he could be found mixing regulary and currently along with his UK Work also graces the turntables across Europe. He continues to fly out frequently and can often be found spinning in Ancona (Italy), Rome (Italy), Madrid or Valencia (both Spain).

MC SINISTA (Kings of the Jungle, Urban Poetry Rec. - Mannheim GER)
MC Sinista aka Sven Schäfer - born in the South-West of Germany in 1984 -
came into contact with music at an early age. Having played the keyboard for
7 years, he graduated in Music Theory.
At age of 13 he was introduced to Drum’n’Bass for the first time, and it
hasn’t let him go since then. Three years later, at the age of 16, he began
writing his own lyrics and started to MC after a year. Sven soon knew that
Mcing was his destiny, which was to be noticed not only by himself, but by
many people in the German music industry (especially within the Drum’n’Bass
scene).
In 2001 he teamed up with DJ Haze and founded the "Pyrobreakz Crew". After
playing at various events in and around Southern Germany in 2002, they
started their own Pyrobreakz clubnight. By the end of 2002 Sven had left the
"Pyrobreakz Crew" and founded "Rudebwoy Business" in early 2003 in order to
expand his musical horizon. Besides collaborating with Loki’s
"weltherrschaft.com" collective, MC Sinista began producing his own
Drum’n’Bass, Hip Hop, Garage and Dancehall tracks.
While his "Rudebwoy Business" project was getting underway, he was offered a
residency at Mannheim’s monthy UK Garage event: "storm!"
MC Sinista has been able to put his voice to the test at smaller gigs as
well (with a live band), and has proven himself as a versatile MC, being
booked by promoters for gigs covering the liquid funk or oldskool sides of
dnb.
MC Sinista soon caught the attention of the Phazeclub-Crew, who were quick
to give him a resident spot at their legendary "Phazeclub", undoubtedly
Germany’s most famous Drum’n’Bass club, which is run by DJ Loo-P, Soulsurfer
& E.Decay.
>From that point on MC Sinista’s career seemed unstoppable, and is constantly
being booked for various events throughout Europe. So far in his short but
aspiring career he has been to Paris, Vienna, Berlin, Dresden, Hamburg,
Bremen, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Munich and many other cities, and has MC’d for
the top names in the DnB World.
