ANTICRACY [Rom/Italien]


.........just another paranoid guy who plays computer music (with guitar riffs now and then).........but...

...The word 'ANTICRACY' (an - "tI - kr& - sE, from Greek anti-[against], and -kratos [strength, power] ) means 'power vacuum'. It also refers to a small early-Fifties secret society . The ANTICRATICS would regulary gather for some strange rituals, even though there's no evidence of their current activity (or existence) nowadays. All of the information available was found on the 'Bulgarian Copybooks' (5 + 6).

FIRE AT WORK [Rom/Italien]


Punk breakcore duo FIRE AT WORK formed in 97 and have expanded the boundaries of roman electronic music ever since. Through distorted rhythm parts and eeire synth loops they've somewhat brought some fresh air inside the rave scene, with their huge pile of stuff (drum machines, synths, pads, keyboards) replacing the traditional turntables. The guys are so different from each other you can hardly believe they play in the same band.

BUT they definitely share great taste in choosing titles for their tracks ('3.52', '2.47', 'untitled', just to name a few....)

zum BREAKTHEBRICK festival im allgemeinen:

break the brick - eine kurze erklärung
12 - 22 August 2004, Ziegelwerk Wolf Graz/Andritz


das festival bespielt das stillgelegte ziegelwerk und öffnet sich allen künstlerischen sparten. an elf thematisch gestalteten tagen werden künstler ohne gage ihren blick in die welt zeigen. als buntes konglomerat von ideen und ohne die ordnende hand eines kurators/gärtners werden sie das ziegelwerk verändern.
im zentrum steht eine theaterproduktion - "das krocketfeld (im auge) der königin" aus alice im wunderland - inszeniert in einer camera obscura von theater mimikry. umrahmt wird das stück von einer reihe bildnerischer austellungen, installationen, workshops, lesungen, livemusik, dj-s, jams und shows.

zero budget bedeutet für uns nicht die grundsätzliche ablehnung von geld, sondern die entscheidung sich nicht um wenig geld - und zu mehr hätte es im gegenwärtigen umfeld nicht gereicht - zu streiten. auch deshalb bieten wir während der dauer des festivals künstlern und kulturin-stitutionen die möglichkeit in einem basar ihr werk/anliegen zum verkauf anzubieten.
teil des basars wird ein bookstore sein, der die themen des festivals vertieft und die möglichkeit gibt in angenehmer athmosphäre zu schmökern.

hunger und durst wird an der bar bekämpft. in pappbechern/tellern und auf höchstem niveau werden wir euch in versuchung führen.

ah yo..

es wird einen fetten plattenstand geben - peace off und die italiener haben einiges an records mit..

also: taschengeld mitnehmen und nicht sparen

übrigens:
- es gibt was zu essen bei der location
- programm startet schon um 1400
- outside floor unterm sternenhimmel mit feuerstelle
- live music outside bis 2200
- recordshop
- cheap drinks
- ausstellungen etc.. viel zu sehn!

es lohnt sich wirklich!
