Gibts beim Porgy begrenzt.

JOJO MAYER'S NERVE KIT

DRUMS ("Sonor Designer", Birch Lite or Sonor"HiLite" and "Lite"):

* 1- 16" by 16'' or 18"by 16" Bass drum
* 2- 12" by 4" snare drum (Designer Series Birch Light, prototype)
* 3- 14" by 4" Snare drum (either Sonor light with a birch shell or Sonor HD-400 steel shell). Always with flanged hoops. "Die-cast hoops don't work for me!"
* 4- 6" Toca mini-timbale
* 5- 10" by 9" tom tom
* 6- 14" by 12" or 13" by 11" tom tom Sometimes he would also add a 10" by
* 5" snare drum (Designer Series Maple Light), occasionally the 10" by 2" "Jungle-Snare" (with a tambourine inside).

Sometimes he would also add a 10" by 5" snare drum (Designer Series Maple Light), occasionally the 10" by 2" "Jungle-Snare" (with a tambourine inside). "It's a great effect snare that produces some really unique sounds, but I would not use it as my main axe because it's dynamic range is not wide enough."

CYMBALS (Sabian):

* A- 13" Prototype "Fierce Hats""
* B- 18" AAX china (upside down)
* C- 12" HH mini china (mounted upside down inside the 18" china)
* D- 15" AAXplosion crash
* E- 15" HH china (upside down)
* F- 13" AA fusion hat (top cymbal mounted on 15"china "X-hat" style)
* G- 21" Jojo Mayer signature "Fierce Ride"
* H- 18" Jojo Mayer signature "Fierce Crash"
* I- 10" HH china kang (optional)
* J- 8" AA china splash (optional)
* K- 12" AAX splash
* L- 10" AA mini hats (only bottom cymbal) with sizzles.
* Not shown: 10" AA mini Hats (mounted inplace of mini timbalito)

Also, Jojo uses various other effects with cymbals, such as taping a 6" splash or 8" rocktagon cymbal on the snare drum etc. In general, he often changes his set-up, always looking for new sounds and combinations.

EXTRAS:

* M- LP hi-hat mounted "jingle ring"(w. brass jingles)
* N- Pete Engelhart crasher
* O- LP Cyclops tambourine (w. hammered brass jingles)

HARDWARE :

* 4 Sonor Protec aluminum-alloy cymbal-stands with boom-arms (short, no counter weights!)
* 2 Sonor Protec aluminum-alloy snare-drum stands
* 1 Sonor Protec aluminum-alloy hi-hat-stand, sometimes a 5000 Designer series hi-hat stand or a Tama lever- glide hi-hat. All operate with minimal spring-tension.
With the Jungle set-up, Jojo uses Multiclamps with tom-arms to suspend the tom toms from cymbal-stands.
Jojo uses a variety of (Protec or other) Cymbal-stackers, Multiclamps- and holders to augment his set-up with additional instruments like the X-Hat, a LP-Cyclops Tambourine, additional cymbals and drums etc.
* 1 drum seat (very important!). Any brand would do as long as it is sturdy, and the hight adjustable.

Unfortunately, especially for those who have to schlep their drums them self, Sonor discontinued the Protec aluminum-alloy hardware a while ago (Too bad!). If not available, Jojo would use any of the other hardware-lines like Sonor 400 and 200 series. At times, (especially for bigger set-ups on tours) he's been using a rack-system combined of Sonor and Gibraltar components, which cuts down on set-up time, space consumption and weight.

NOTE: The above is an approximation of my everchanging set up. The kits vary in size and shape based on changing requirements and My quest for new sounds and ideas.

Takuya Nakamura:keyboard, moog synthie, anderes computerzeug, band zum modulieren, nochn keyboard, trompete, fusspedal ...

John Davis: bass
