5. Where did the name Muffler come from?

I was about 12 years old and needed artist name and came up with Muffler. Back then I didn't know what "muff" means thought :D

6. What is the Drum & Bass scene like in your area?

quite a few good producers and DJs who do their thing properly, but not that much happening with clubs at the moment, unfortunately.

but Helsinki is only hour and half away from Estonia and there are some wicked parties happening almost every week

7. 2004 looks to be a good year for Drum & Bass, where do you see it heading?

i have no idea, I think i'm going deeper and darker, but still dancefloor.

8. Do you have a web site?

only temporary site with basic info at the moment for promoters etc.

9. How long have you been producing Drum & Bass?

i did my first jungle track with amiga back in 1994. it was crap thought, first decent tunes were somber/fury in 1999.

10. Do you DJ, and how long have you been mixing for?

I started DJing back in 97 in my bedroom and did my first gigs in 99 if i remember right.

11. What are your Drum & Bass influences?

i think some older dark stuff + new tunes from pendulum and few others have influenced me

12. Do you have any other musical interests?

i like all kinds of music really, except maybe country :D cinematic orchestra, zero7 + few others i'm listening at the moment

13. How did you become involved in the Drum & Bass scene?

i started making tunes and DJing and got to know with people who were into it too

14. What did you do before Drum & Bass?

hiphop a bit, and all kinds of shit really. played bass in heavy bands for sometime too.

it can be really hard and dark or smooth and mellow and everything between.

i should do flip for my Barcode 12" now asap, and working on the first release for my own label Sighco + some rmx bizness... more tunes for moving shadow too

In July i'll be in england for a couple of weeks, and i'm going to few other places like russia, germany and austria too

beyonce, björk ..... they both could do amazing vocals for dnb tracks

dom+kemal - moulin rouge (dsl+kaos+karl k rmx), fresh - submarines (pendulum rmx) + some of my own new stuff

13. How did it feel when you first heard someone drop one of your tunes at a club?

quite amazing, actually i remember it. It was a local dj called Alimo who played "Fury" in a club for about 300 people.

14. Do you have a favourite 'all time' tune?

goldie - inner city life

yes!
