 dvd authoring
ich würd gern videodateien (die meisten sind xvid .avi´s) auf dvds - für normale dvd-player lesbar - schreiben..
das dvd authoring von nero scheint mir irgendwie crap, weiß per zufall wer ein geeigneteres programm?

zum videos konvertieren find ich den "Terran Media Cleaner" ganz nett! macht batch-läufe und kann eigentlich alle wichtigen Einstellungen. Ist von der Quali sicher ned schlechter als Nero, obs besseres gibt weiss ich leider a ned...

für windows is das immer so a sache... also vor nem jahr hat's noch kein "wirklich gutes" und einfach zu bedienendes programm fürn pc geben, da hat apple mit dvd studio eindeutig die nase vorn...
allerdings gibts von sonic ( ) paar gute tools, je nach anspruch...
und ich hätt auf die gachn von sony (ex-sonic foundry) den dvd architect anzubieten, das is auch ganz leiwand. mit dem hab ich immer meine filmchen kompatibel fürn dvd-player gmacht. kann ich dir gern ne sicherungskopie anfertigen wennst magst.

"normale dvd player" können auch divx lesen und dann kannst es ganz normal als avi draufspün und rennt scho

divx können keine "normalen", sondern die die divx abspielen können, is ned seit beginn der "normalen" standard....

richtig... allerdings können's die meisten "billigen"... ich hab an eltax um 50 oder 60 euro, der kanns zum bleistift... und der funkt auch sonst ziemlich gut... nix besonderes, aber abpielen kann er halt jeden scheiss.

....suuper audio. das wär aber vielleicht eine alternative zum cd turntable auflegen oder?

ich selbst hab keinen dvd player und brauch auch keinen... (fileserver im wohnzimmer ist mit dem tv verbunden).
die dvds sind nicht für mich, ich muß fox serien für einen älteren dvd player meiner freundin  brennen (der kein divx lesen kann; außerdem wären die dateien ja eh xvid!)
aber danke erstmal, ich werd mir die genannten progs mal ansehen..

das klingt gut. sourceforge software nehm ich gleich viel lieber..
allerdings rennt das samba paket bei mir noch nicht auf meinem computer richtig - stürzt immer ab - deswegen komm ich nur ur mühsam an die (winxp) dateien vom fileserver ran..
hmmm... ein grund mehr endlich ein funktionierendes heterogenes netzerk in der wohnung zum laufen zu bringen
edit: smb client läuft .. jetzt kann ich das qdvd mal ausprobieren, danke!

für die die es einfach mögen ohne in der fstab herumpfuschen zu müssen: check dir das smb4k tool fürs grafische. das listet dir zuerst das netzwerk mit den shares auf (vom windowsnetzwerk, wie in der exploreransicht) und moutets dir auf knopfdruck in einen homeverzeichnis-unterordner. damit hab ich bis jetzt die besten erfahrungen gemacht.
und was das vorher besagte tool kann, weiß ich nicht. ich hab ja nichtmal einen dvd brenner 
hab nur screenshots geguckt
