Unison_sound Networks Ep*****out Now!!

Unison have done it again. Beat wizard Whizz Vienna cooked up some instrumental goodness in his Thin.King.Kitchen, Shnek added a couple of titanic verses and DJ Crum cut up the herbs & spices to serve you a three-course-menu of raw finesse. Probably infected by the well known Vienna vibe, this record is more mellow than the two before, with the exception of the aforementioned 'Girls...' tune. This can also be attributed to some jazzy live bass and keys played by Alexander Berger and Stefan Hafner, whose skills will shine again on future Beattown projects for sure. In order to make the EP even more enjoyable, Whizz also put a little interlude and two bonus beats in between the tracks. This gives the listener a little more time to reflect on the lyrics, which turns out to be quite helpful. Because on this record, Shneks poetic expression reaches another plateau as he wants to flow through Europe like the river Danube ('Broken Air') and is ready to explore oceans ('Sound Networks'). And exploration is a good metaphor for what Unison are doing. Having been a HipHop crew with international scope from day one, their willingness to experiment and try out new things makes them stand out.
