Typecell - Interview for

The name Typecell (Guido Hoppe) is synonymous with the technoid drum & bass sound currently emanating from Germany. His Protogen label is recognised worldwide as a leader in the neurofunk/tech styles of dnb, with artists such as Phace, N.phect & Dizplay and Australia's very own Speakerwrath appearing on the roster. He has also had tunes remixed by some of the creme de la creme of the tech world, including Kemal, Rob F (Sinthetix), Black Sun Empire and Chris Su. Typecell is also a firm believer in the strength of technology, recently creating his digital branch of Protogen, aptly named Protodigit, to make crisp cutting edge neurofunk easily available worldwide. An in-demand DJ and incredibly prolific producer, he's due to release his 7th LP 'Macrocosm' in mid 2007. Boot harassed Typecell over AIM to answer some burning questions he had for the lanky German one:

enjoy...
