be there 4 U - d.kay+rawfull - update!!!

hi!

"be there 4 U" erscheint anfang februar (fix) auf freak recordings, dem neuen und ersten eigenen label von dylan.
die flipside kommt von concord dawn (nzl) - "bad bones".

in der nächsten dog's bollocks show, 31.01.03., werden ab 23uhr 2x promos verlost, hinhören also!

außerdem wird es remixes von faith in chaos (dylan+robyn) und concord dawn geben, ebenfalls auf freak recordings (dauert aber noch ein bissi).


daher feiern wir am 31.01.03 im FLEX die "FREAK RECORDINGS RELEASE PARTY"!!

an den decks pure austrian drum and bass power:

Label: Outbreak Limited 8
Review: From something sublime to something – well – savage. Number 8 on Outbreak Limited is a typically bruising affair featuring those heavy dub scientists Loxy and Ink. Guesting on here are Digital and also D.Kay, who interestingly has been doing some really funky stuff (see the Hospital EP), but also some heavy tear-out tracks that need a health warning to those of a sensitive disposition. Extra hard breaks are the order of the day on side A, with a bit of conga rhythm thrown alongside some low-key atmospherics. The snares are splicing with the chime of a bell setting a dark and sinister tone. The bass line is fairly standard and the addition of a drilling Reese synth finishes you off after a couple of minutes of listening. It really does run out of steam too fast though and lacks any real identity as well – this lot have done much better to be honest. Side B is pretty decent though and Digital’s influence is clear, as the dub styles are evident from the outset. It’s got a lot more funkiness and has a nice percussive kind of groove to it with some extra vocals and an ascending bass rub. Nothing outstanding, but a good one to get heads moving even it is pretty standard club fodder in the larger scale of things.
