prodigy's musikrichtung

Ich hätt nach ein paar Stunden diskutieren mal gerne eine Meinung von jemand anderen.

Wie meint ihr kann man die Musikrichtung von Prodigy bezeichnen?

Ich find die Bezeichnung electronic punk fast am geeignesten, vielleicht gibt's aber eine noch konkretere Bezeichnung.

Außerdem würd mich interessieren ob's ähnliche Bands, Djs, whatever in Richtung prodigy gibt.

Ich glaub wir hatten das Thema am alten board schon mal, weiss aber nicht mehr genau was da am Ende raus kam.

so vom auftreten her gehts vielleicht in richtung punk, der musikalische vergleich hinkt aber. punk lebt vom primitiven, mehr als 3 akkorde sind da eher verpöhnt...prodigy-sachen sind grossteils sehr ausgefeilt produziert.
aggressiv is es aber...hmm....was weiss ich

kann mich leider auch nur destruktiv an dieser unwichtigen diskussion beteiligen und in den raum stellen, dass punk sicher die falsche bezeichnung is

gibt sogar vergleichbares aus ö

um den stil gut beschreiben zu könne muß man noch ein bißchen warten, bei den neuen sachen zumindest, mal schaun, was sich da so etabliert.

für die alten sachen würd ich ganz banal dance-allgemein sagen, von dort kommen sie. die neuen eher bigbeat,.. naja

auf jeden fall gibts bands, die man vgl. kann. siehe drown a fish.

hab mit denen zusammen "viennergy" veranstaltet (festl im mai). die machen schon einen ziemlich ähnlichen sound.

prodigy haben ja früher sehr verschiedene stile produziert unter anderem 1992 einen sehr genialen jungle track namens charlie

definitiv Breakbeat mit div. Einflüssen von eben punk, jungle, acidhouse, early techno 90er, drumandbass bis hin zu BigBeat-Einflüssen .... aber im Grunde ist es BREAKBEAT Genre

kann mich erinnern in den medien früher auch die bezeichnung "big beat" wie weiter oben schon erwähnt wurde, oder "Progressive" gehört/gelesen zu haben. aber "big beat" find ich eigentlich nicht passend wemmas mit den anderen Sachen vergleicht die diesem Genre zugeordnet werden.

einigen wir uns einfach auf die universallösung "Crossover"
