With a string of groundbreaking , fresh releases behind them, IM:LTD has rapidly become
the place to turn if you're looking for future sounds.This ,the ninth serving from their digital
kitchen, is no exception - with Polish up-and-comer Mortem cooking up no less than three
slices of spooky, glitchy dnb for your delectation.

Starting as he means to go on, Mortem opens with the super dark 'Whispers', where a tight,
tense drum break rolls along underneath synth stabs and a trully brilliant use of the most
stunning production you've heard in a while.

'Deadly Object' begins with sombre warnings of the planet's imminent destruction and rolls
through into heavy, heavy bass sounds, reminiscent of what many would say was the golden
era of DnB. Despite the weightiness, this one maintains a perfect balance with its snappy,
clean drums.

Mortem wraps up with something a little, and we emphasise 'a little', lighter on the ear -
'Conversations' is a dreamy, dark soundscape that demonstrates exactly how minimal should
be done.

With eastern DnB deservedly getting a lot of attention lately, Mortem is undoubtedly one of
the names to watch on this burgeoning scene.
