We all know about the dangerous combination of Body & Soul and Fourward, with releases under
their belt from Virus, Viper and Subsonik Sounds to name a few. This six-man collaboration is a force
to be reckoned with, as proves this fresh 12’’ from Nasca Records, the Austrian label that truly knows
how to induce proper bassface.
‘Comply To The Rules’ is the last thing you’d want to do when you hear this tune. The demonic sci-fi
intro followed by an instant surge of energy provided by the hard-hitting drums and a beastly roaring
bassline all combine to work a full-on assault of the senses.. It’s true badman drum and bass, sure to
tear apart any dancefloor!
It wouldn’t be fair to say ‘Waiting’ on the B side is any mellower than it’s A-side neighbour, but at
this level of deliciously filthy D&B, it makes perfect sense. A nasty roller with haunting pads and a
killer mid-range bass riff all arranged over crisp drums to create a real gem to keep the tech-heads
happy. ‘Waiting’ is formidable slice of future-music, promising a treat to any drum and bass lover from
the darkside.
