Hello Dogs,

We're sending this email out so that we give you guys a quick update whats happening.

About 9am EST on Friday we came under a Distributed Denial of Service attack.. You may remember about a year ago CNN and Yahoo and other major sites came under similar attacks and were down for a few days. We have been working with our provider in order to do everything we can to get DOA back up and running.. unfortunatly.. due to the nature of the attacks (spread among many computers and the random nature of the attack) and our hosting companies policy all incoming traffic to DOA is being blocked.

We are currently working with our hosting company, The FBI and all relavent agencies in resolving this matter fully. Let me be clear. The proper authorities ARE and WILL be persuing this matter to the full extent.

It's been around 28 hours since the attacks have started and while they have not ceased completely they have ceased substantially. Once our Service Provider deems it okay for us to put the server back up.. it'll come directly back online..

For those of you who have questions or might know some information of who may be behind this.. simply reply to this email and we will get back to you as quick as possible.

Thanks dogs for bearing with us and being so patient.. we may be down for the moment but we will be back..

JUHU es funkt wieder.

Hello dogs,

It's been a very very long weekend for all of us here at doa.. the staff AND YOU GUYS.. I know some of you have missed us.. but we're back..

For those of you who don't know what is going on... On 9am Est Friday we were attacked with a DDOS.. (A distributed Denial of Service attack).. these are a type of attack that is EXTREMELY HARD to block and combat. It has forced our main webserver down.. along with some of our main features (dubplates, radio, news)

We have done our best to put up exactly what we could put up.. and what I know is the favorite part of DOA for most of you (Don't worry we'll chnage your mind on that once we keep updating the new features).. the forum.

We got the forum up so that we can deal with the DDOS activity PROPERLY..

We are disapointed why this has happened. We do not know if we were specifically targeted (which is very likely) or not... but it has happened.. and we'll adjust

We will be putting doa back up in all of it's glory as it is deemed fit.. and most likely will be procuring new (and EXPENSIVE) hosting/service provider.. in order to protect agsint these things...

So until further notice the Dubplate and Radio pages are down.. but no worries they WILL return
