Es gibt Menschen, die für gute Musik auf alles in der Welt verzichten könnten, auch auf das, an das Sie gerade denken. In diesem Zusammenhang dürfen wir Sie auf die vielleicht größte kommerzielle Frechheit des sich in den Winter schummelnden Jahrhundertsommerjahres 2003 aufmerksam machen. Sie heißt: "Kopierschutz". Dieser sorgt dafür, dass man CDs zwar kaufen, aber nicht hören kann. Zumindest werden kopiergeschützte CDs (und das sind 50 Prozent der neuen) von jedem dritten CD-Player verweigert. Man kann sie sicherheitshalber aber auch nicht auf Minidiscs überspielen, hat teuer erworbene MD-Player also nur noch zu Dekorationszwecken daheim stehen.

Will man unhörbare CDs zurückgeben, wird man als Verbrecher behandelt, weil der Händler davon ausgeht, dass man die Scheibe bereits kopiert hat. Genau das sollte der Kopierschutz im Übrigen verhindern. Kann er aber nicht. Wer das Kopieren einmal kapiert hat, kopiert auch kopiergeschützte CDs ohne Mühe.

Wer kopiergeschützte CDs nicht kopieren, sondern lediglich spielen will, hat - für einen Ladenpreis von bis zu 21 Euro - Pech gehabt. Es wäre an der Zeit, wieder auf Schallplatten umzusteigen. (DER STANDARD, Printausgabe, 12.9.2003)

...wärs dir auch egal, wenn du statt einer wurstsemmel nur das papierl kriegst wenn du dir im supermarkt eine kaufst?

oder hörst du keine musik?

angebot is aber eh da,gibt im virgin ja ne kleine vinyl abteilung, wo von gut gepushten rock/metal sachen die alben auf platte zu haben sind. hamma selber beim letzten placebo album direkt gedacht ,dass ich mir das auf platte kauf -- dann doch nicht. ... und außerdem: auf vinyl wär die placebo platte um 4 € billiger gewesen als auf CD (preis im saturn, mariahilferstr. ...) ... is auch n argument

PS: kopiergeschützte CD's sind eh total blöd .. gibt was ich weiß ne webseite wo aufgelistet is, welche CD-rom laufwerke/brenner die trotzdem lesen können ... wüsst jetz aber nit wo, .. aber gezielt diese kaufen und die sache hat sich

...ja - kopieren geht ja eh, aber einige cd player spielen die original cd s nicht und ich will mir nicht wenn ich mir eine cd kaufen will einen neuen cd player zulegen müssen damit ich sie hören kann!

...und ich hab schon immer gesagt daß die cd-ära irgendwann sich ausschöpft und vorbeigeht. falls das problem nicht so schnell gelöst wird, könnte es mmn auch zum anfang des cd-untergangs werden.

Wofür denn überhaupt noch irgendwas kaufen, wenn man denn eh schon legal downloaden kann ... zahlt man ja nur paar $ für eine CD ...
