Im living in Klagenfurt and spent now half a year in Ljubljana. Before i was also in this strange situation that you now there is a city 1 hour away from your own, and sometimes you want to go there, but you dont. Maybe the mountains are also in peoples heads?! I think the partys in Lj are really great, like Roni Size in K4, and others for example in Metelkova City and also the prisez are uncompareable to Austria. I mean in Klagenfurt i have to pay 10€ for the local crews (i dont say they are bad, but the prise is too high) and in Lj i can see worldacts for the same prise, and local crews as cheap as a beer here.
And not to forget about all the friendly people down there though there are sometimes some strange headz, but were not?

So, travel more outside of Austria and dont be afraid of the others they are still listening to the same music and taking the same drugs as you!!
