The background for the current Hattrick downtime is that over the past week, we have been migrating the site to a new storage solution very similar to our previous one, but with a lot more space for Hattrick to grow in. This move triggered some performance problems that we did not expect, and we have spent the last few days trying to fix those problems together with the storage solution provider. As a result of the decreased performance over the last few days, however, we also ran into trouble with the Hattrick databases. Basically, with the disks not working at full capacity we were not able to handle all Hattrick events as they happened and some database tables came out of synch with each other. We repaired the database during the night but there are some remaining errors that we want to address today. It is very important that the database is healthy when the game engine runs, as it may cause additional problems to open the site too early. Even when this has been sorted out, we will need to keep the site closed for several hours probably most of Thursday - as the game engine catches up and we make sure everything is working properly. Getting Hattrick back up again, and healthy, is our main priority right now. We are also working on getting the storage system working as intended, and we are sure that will be achieved eventually as well. We are so very sorry for this downtime, and we really strive to get back up again as soon as we can with out jeopardizing the game data. One reason we prefer to keep the site closed rather than having it open while we work, is because in a case like this, it is important for us to prioritize the integrity of the data; to make sure your teams, and previous game results, and transfers, and economy are safe and secure. When we open again, some of you will have missed out on things that were supposed to happen when the game was down, and we understand that it can feel terrible. But this is something we all have to be prepared can happen in Hattrick or any other real time environment. Again, sorry for this inconvenience and see you back on Hattrick in a while! .

na ernsthaft... langsam mach ich mir schon einbissl sorgen, ich mein einen tag ohne ht (freiwillig!) is okay, aber so...
va will ich schon wissen, wies meinem team geht, ob trainig tzd (nachträglich?) stattfindet,... ich packs net.... ich kenn mi net aus.... HILFE!!! bitte ALLE brauchbaren infos zu mir!

andrerseits; nachdem ich DIE schlechte aufstellung überhaupt eingespeichert hab + wenn ichs bis so net ändern kann, erübrigt sich zumind. meine frage "wie absichtlich verlieren" ....

traurige sache!! carlos war echt ein lieber kerl...


bei mir is ebenfalls mein neuer einkauf wieder weg. (was aber gar ned amal sooo schlimm is, weil der eh suboptimal in mein team gepasst hat) - die kohle dafür hab ich auch zurückbekommen.


was ich nur super find. 2 meiner trainees waren (+3 bzw +2)verletzt und beide sind nach dem datenbank sturz wieder putz-gesund!

-> das ging wohl allen so. die mittwoch spiele haben nie stattgefunden bzw. die datenbank hat den stand von nach-sonntag bis vor mittwoch früh! (deswegen sind auch die finanzen+transfers resettet)

somit hamma halt ein halbes training verloren. und nachdems offensichtlich alle getroffen hat, isses ja auch wieder wurscht!

What has happened?

Last week we upgraded our disk storage for Hattrick to a new system, capable of handling a lot more data. This was necessary as the current storage system were running out of space. The first step of this upgrade was made last week and it worked fine. However, during the second step, when we added a second core server to the storage system, we started to get performance issues on the disks. Eventually, this affected the live database as some data was damaged. Repairing such damage is done reasonably often in Hattrick and need not be too complicated, but in this case it was pretty bad. What does it mean that Hattrick goes back to a backup?

The last backup was taken at 05.00 HT-Time the night between Sunday and Monday, after the weekend games. What happened between 05.00 on Monday and Wednesday evening, when the site was taken down, have basically been lost. This included friendlies and Cup games in some leagues, transfers, and various manager-triggered team events, such as hiring and firing of staff. Once the backup was restored, the entire week has been simulated with the parameters that existed at the time of the back up – the current match orders, squads, injuries and so on. Transfers that were completed by the time the backup re still completed, but all open transfers and bids at that time has been cleared out. The transfer list was emptied and players need to be re-listed.


I won my game, but now I lost it instead. How will you deal with that?

We have had to restore a backup, which means we have lost data. The games have been replayed and we will have to accept that the results are not always identical after a replay. This is the new reality. Some users will benefit from this, and others will not. Many of you will notice small effects of this type, concerning match results, or injuries, or transfers that could have been made. These consequences are regrettable, but we will not make any individual fixes. Please accept that this is the only fair and reasonable policy for us.


I can’t find my replayed friendly – it’s not in the match list?

Click on The Club. View More Events. "A friendly was arranged". The last one will have a link to your match.
