eine bestimmte codierung kannst du ganz einfach im header mit <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=meinlieblings-character-encoding-satz" /> "erzwingen".
und soweit ich weiß, waren mal die events in der suchfunktion drinnen, dafür aber chit-chat nicht.

ISO 8859-1, funktioniert auch solange ich nicht auf Preview Reply gehe. Dann (und nur dann) schaltet der Browser (nur Mozilla? warum auch immer) auf UTF-8 um, was zu den verhunzten Umlauten führt. Wenn ich direkt auf Submit gehe (so wie in diesem Post) funktionierts: AäÜüÖö
