The Toxic Avenger ist ein Mysterium. Ein Maskenmann, benannt nach einem der "Superheroes" aus der Werkstatt der Trash-Film-Institution Troma. Ein "Poker Face" mit einem Faible für Comix-Welten (stylewise) und Maximal Knarzage (soundwise) - einer, dem die "Saloperie de minimale" zuwider war und der sein "Escape" fand, indem er ein Electro-Exzessler, ja, ein Ed Banger wurde, ohne dafür beim gleichnamigen Label anstreifen zu müssen.
So, bevor hier noch mehr Songtitel gedroppt werden - und die Versuchung ist bei rund zwei Dutzend Toxic-Remixen (darunter auch der mit Trash Yourself kongenial verwurstete "Song 2" von Blur) in den letzten beiden Jahren nicht gering: Lieber der hocherfreuliche Hinweis darauf, dass wir den vielumworbenen Mystery Man aus Paris zwischen zwei US-Gastspielen (bei den renommierten Branchen-Veranstaltungen SXSW und Winter Music Conference) für einen Live-Auftritt - seinen ersten in Österreich übrigens - bei Pola-Riot gewinnen konnten. Get intoxicated!
