Keaton presents Refuge sessions mix.featuring MC Armanni Reign

Original Usual Suspect and former member of Universal Project, Keaton's D&B pedigree is one of the finest around. With 5 years at Renegade Hardware under his belt and a discography that boasts more dancefloor anthems than you can shake a stick at, Keaton is just the man to lay down a classic DOA mix! The man himself is currently locked in the studio with Hive, Gridlock and Echo in San Francisco, cooking up a debut LP for Violence Recordings. The album is intended not just as a bunch of dancefloor killers, but something that can take the listener on a musical journey, while retaining more than enough punch for the club. The new LP is well on the way to completion but the Violence crew are keeping a lid on the tracks until the time is right. Not that there's not plenty of dubplate pressure in this mix!

In November Keaton launched his label REFUGE. The first release 'Redemption' with Verse and 'No Hope?' with Hive was a land mark in this years cutting edge style of drum and bass.

Keaton's concept for the label is to create an avenue for mood or thought provoking visual music with a message or meaning to covey. 'Music for escapist listeners as well as the dancefloor, the music itself becoming a Refuge for all asylum seekers' he explains.

MC Armanni

For the last year MC Armanni has been spearheading a revolution in the USA. No longer are D&B MCs considered second rate compared to their Hip Hop cousins. With Armanni's sharp tongue and insightful lyrical style gaining him respect from some of the scene's biggest players including Goldie and the Metalheadz crew!
