>MIX< - Upbeats & MC 2 Shy - December DOA Mix

Hailing from New Zealand, The Upbeats have built up a strong profile in their home country over the past couple of years; spurred on by a number of well-received singles on domestic labels and constant local gigs. It was here in the early part of 2004 that they first met and impressed the BC UK boys Maldini & Vegas while they were touring NZ. Their obvious talent combined with a sound that is reminiscent of some early BC work means that they are well suited to their new role as part of the BC UK empire! Whilst they were over here on tour DOA was happy to get them in the studio alongside the renowned 2 Shy for a tune showcase of epic proportions.

SO... we caught up with them while they were over here on tour and got them in the studio alongside one of the most respected scene's on the circuit for a showcase of epic proportions.

AA. FILL ME IN

A. The 'Slit' is a Brutal and unforgiving slice of music, made for the dancefloor.. The BCUK boys think this track in particular reminds them of their classic '4 Days' tech anthem.. And to be honest there isn't much else to say!! Its eerie, its dark and basically its gonna be MASSIVE!

AA. 'Fill Me In' could be the soundtrack to some strange gothic Drum & Bass horror movie… It’s a long tune, with a wide variety of dark electronic sounds all against the backdrop of a rolling bass.. More unusual and intrciate than the A-side, but still more than enough to get them tearing out on the floor. Plenty for any DJ to play with...
